Earlier this month, a Grinch struck a local Okotoks family when stealing items from their vehicle, including a backpack filled with some beloved toys owned by a little boy. The thief snatched a toy Ram truck hauling a trailer with a SV280 Case Skid Steer, which were Jackson Lacey’s prized possessions.

Hoping to replace the stolen toys, Lacey Fox reached out to RME High River in hopes the branch had the toys still in stock. After receiving an email from Lacey, Parts Sales Manager Chris Ustupski was quick to help.

After some research, Chris was able to determine the toys were in fact purchased at the branch and were made by ERTL Toys. However, it was discovered that RME Shoal Lake in Manitoba was the only location that had Jackson’s original black Ram truck toy in stock along with a white Ram truck toy. Chris ordered both trucks.

In an email to Lacey, he stated, “We would like to replace these and help rebuild Jackson’s fleet of Case Skid Steers and Ram trucks for you free of charge.”

With Christmas just around the corner, Chris felt it was the right thing to do for the family.

In a Facebook post, Lacey expressed her sincere thanks to not just Chris but to RME as a whole.

“Jackson is a lucky kid and they are a wonderful company,” she wrote. “If there are any Mommas out there with little boys or girls who love diggers and trucks and construction toys, maybe consider making the short drive to any local RME and consider buying one of their Christmas gifts from them. I would love to see them supported after their kindness.”

RME is proud to have a Manager like Chris who does  and doesn’t think twice about making Christmas a bit brighter for a young boy who had lost his favourite toy.
