With the latter being an important part of the day-to-day in the RME service department, it’s important to recognize the individuals behind the scenes who make this happen.

Located at our Balzac branch, Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Eric Brown spends his days servicing construction equipment to ensure our customer’s downtime is as short as possible. While sometimes he can be found in the shop, often he is out on the road taking service calls.

“I’ve always admired heavy equipment from the time I was a young kid and I enjoyed mechanics, so I figured I’d make a career out of it.”

Eric has been with RME for over 10 years, spending eight of those in the RME Taber service department before making his way to the Balzac branch in 2018.

Shop Foreman David Calon said Eric is dedicated to ensuring customers are taken care of.

“He’s always available to answer any questions, whether it’s another technician in need of a hand or it’s one of our customers,” said David. “He works hard to keep Rocky View County’s growing construction customer base up and running.”

Some of his customers include landscape contractors, large infrastructure developers, and of course, farmers.

“What I enjoy most about the construction industry is getting to meet new people and work face-to-face onsite at multiple locations and different job types,” said Eric.

RME is proud to have Heavy Equipment Technicians like Eric taking care of our customers and giving their equipment the maintenance needed to ensure projects get done quickly and efficiently. By doing Right by Our Customers, he’s ensuring the construction crews can get the job done.
